LEAP joins over 600,000 youth from across the globe in an effort to change the world. PeaceJam is a non-profit organization which empowers young people across the globe to create change through the inspiration of Nobel Peace Prize laureates. Youth study Nobel Peace Laureates’ own journeys toward world change. From this understanding of global figures, youth work toward making changes in their own schools and communities. PeaceJammers range in age from 5-25, and at LEAP, our LITs, ages 13-15, join the movement this fall. PeaceJam’s program revolves around three pillars: Education, Inspiration and Action (all familiar to Leapers!). LITs will study Nobel Peace Laureates such as Desmond Tutu and Adolfo Pérez Esquivel and learn from their powerful examples of leadership skills.
